Will Stop Squeak work through carpet without pulling it up?

Stop Squeak is designed for suitable carpeted suspended timber floors. Its coated, scored screws secure the board or subfloor to the joist and snap below the wood surface. Follow the kit instructions and check carpet suitability before starting.

Does Stop Squeak work on stairs?

The kit is intended for suitable timber stair assemblies, with or without carpet. Locate the supporting timber and the source of movement before fixing; check for concealed pipes and cables.

Should I use Stop Squeak on floating laminate or LVT?

Do not screw a floating click floor down to its subfloor. For joint friction on click floors with a visible V-groove, start with the Squeaky Floor Test Kit to test Click Lube and Groove Gasket. Structural or subfloor noise needs separate diagnosis.

How do the scored screws work?

Locate the joist, drive the scored screw as instructed to pull the board or subfloor tight to it, then snap the head below the wood surface. Check for concealed services before drilling or screwing.

What if the squeak is from a void rather than a loose board?

Diagnose the construction and cause before choosing another repair. Injectafix may suit an accessible void under a compatible floor on a sound substrate; it is not a repair for rot or structural failure.
